India, April 12 -- The ruling Congress in Telangana suffered a setback as senior leader and former MLC Dileep Kumar resigned from the party and joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in the presence of party president Jayant Chaudhary. He has been appointed as RLD's Telangana in-charge.
Dileep Kumar, known for his active role in the Telangana movement, was earlier elected to the Legislative Council from the BRS. He later quit the party following differences with K. Chandrashekar Rao. Over the years, he has been associated with multiple political parties.
