Hyderabad, Feb. 17 -- Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha has announced that a law regarding the sub-categorisation of Scheduled Castes (SC) will be enacted within the next 15 to 20 days. Once the bill is passed, the government will issue recruitment notifications for 25,000 job vacancies across different departments.
Speaking at a meeting with Madiga community leaders at the Hyderabad Tourism Convention Hall, the minister stated that after the Supreme Court's decision, the Telangana government had set up a commission to examine SC sub-categorisation. Based on the commission's report, different sub-groups within the SC category will be classified accordingly through legislation.
