Hyderabad, July 2 -- A meeting was held on Wednesday at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate Auditorium, where Telangana State SC & ST Commission Chairman Bakki Venkataiah, in coordination with the Cyberabad Police, facilitated the distribution of 2BHK flats to SC & ST atrocity victims.
Bakki Venkataiah described the initiative as the first-of-its-kind in India, providing double-bedroom houses to victims of caste atrocities. Out of 43 sanctioned flats, 31 were handed over to affected families to help them rebuild their lives with dignity. He assured that the Commission would continue to work with the State Government to implement further welfare measures.
