Hyderabad, Feb. 5 -- Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao has announced that the Telangana government has credited over Rs 1,126 crore into the bank accounts of farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.



The scheme, launched on January 26, has so far benefited 17.03 lakh farmers. The government is depositing funds daily into farmers' accounts to ensure financial stability. Nageshwara Rao stated that apart from paddy, the government is also ensuring minimum support prices for cotton.



He revealed that this year, the government procured 20.11 lakh metric tonnes of cotton, amounting to Rs 14,896 crore. He also assured that farmers are being provided with uninterrupted electricity, timely seeds, and fertilizers.
