India, May 6 -- The proposed indefinite strike by Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) workers has been postponed, following last-minute negotiations with state Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. The decision came late on Tuesday after discussions with the RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) led to a breakthrough, averting major disruption to public transport from 7 May.



The employees had been preparing for industrial action over several weeks, accusing the state government of neglecting 21 key demands. These included job regularisation, revision of pay scales, and improved employee welfare measures.
