India, April 10 -- Secunderabad railway police seized 52 kg of dry ganja worth Rs 26 lakh from Platform No. 7 of Secunderabad Railway Station. The contraband was found during a joint inspection by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP).



According to Railway DSP S.N. Javed and in-charge Inspector R. Ellappa, who addressed the media at the Secunderabad Railway Police Station, four large, unclaimed bags were found during routine checks. On opening them, officials discovered the bags were filled with ganja.



Efforts to trace the owners of the bags by questioning nearby stall vendors and passengers yielded no leads. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects were using the railway route to smuggle...
