India, June 20 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced his willingness to hold talks with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to resolve the ongoing dispute over the Banakacharla project. He said dialogue is the only way to settle the issue.



Speaking informally to media persons during his visit to Delhi, Revanth Reddy stated that the conflict began after Andhra Pradesh submitted a pre-feasibility report (PFR) of the controversial Banakacharla project, being constructed on the Godavari River, to the Centre. He added that had the Andhra Pradesh government discussed the matter with Telangana beforehand, the dispute could have been avoided.
