India, April 19 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that the decision to restore Hyderabad's Musi River was inspired by observations of rivers in cities such as Tokyo, New York, London, and Seoul. He expressed concern that some individuals were attempting to obstruct the river restoration efforts.



Speaking at a meeting hosted by the Japan Telugu Federation in Tokyo during his official visit to Japan, the Chief Minister said the Musi Riverfront Project was conceptualised after studying successful riverfront developments like the Hudson River in New York, the Thames in London, and water management in Tokyo and Seoul.
