India, June 24 -- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday challenged Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to a debate in the Assembly over the use of Godavari river water.



Addressing a public meeting near the Rajiv Gandhi statue in front of the Secretariat on Tuesday evening, organised to highlight the success of the Rythu Bharosa scheme, Revanth Reddy said he was ready to participate in a detailed discussion with all supporting evidence. He invited KCR to submit a letter to the Assembly Speaker if he was willing to debate. If KCR agrees, Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu would facilitate the discussion on a date chosen by the BRS leader.
