India, March 29 -- Rescue teams successfully removed the loco engine from the accident site inside the SLBC tunnel, where operations are continuing at double the pace. The Special Officer of the SLBC tunnel, Shivashankar, appreciated the relentless efforts of the rescue teams and urged them to continue with the same dedication.
The SLBC tunnel accident occurred on February 22, trapping eight workers. So far, the bodies of two workers have been recovered and handed over to their families. Special measures are being taken to trace and retrieve the remaining six.
