Hyderabad, Sept. 29 -- The government of Andhra Pradesh has postponed from October 5 its earlier decision to re-open schools across the state. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reportedly took the decision to delay the reopening of schools until November 2, addressing a video-conference review meeting with all district collectors on Tuesday.

In view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state and the concerns raised by a few parents in this respect, the Chief Minister agreed to retain the deferment.
