Hyderabad, June 14 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the BJP-led central government decided to conduct a caste-based census alongside the national census due to pressure from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He termed it a significant victory for the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi's persistent efforts.
Speaking at the launch of a book on the OBC movement, Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted the lack of unity among Backward Classes (BCs) and stressed the urgent need for them to unite beyond political affiliations.
