Hyderabad, Feb. 18 -- Prof. T. Kishan Kumar Reddy has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). Governor Jishnu Dev Varma issued the official orders. Prof. Kishan Kumar Reddy will serve as Vice-Chancellor for three years from the date of assuming office.
The position of JNTU Vice-Chancellor had been vacant since 21 May last year. The appointment process was postponed twice. On January 27 this year, a meeting of the search committee was held for Vice-Chancellor appointments. However, due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the Legislative Council elections, the process was stalled once again. The government has now taken steps to finalise the appointment.
