Hyderabad, March 23 -- Former Intelligence Chief and retired IPS officer T. Prabhakar Rao, considered a key accused in the phone tapping case, has approached the High Court seeking bail. In his petition, Prabhakar Rao pleaded innocence and requested relief on health grounds.



He informed the court that he is currently undergoing treatment in the United States for cancer and a lung infection. He clarified that he had travelled to the US before he was named in the case and not to evade investigation.



Prabhakar Rao argued that he was being falsely implicated without proper inquiry and stated there is no evidence against him. He urged the court to take note of his medical condition and grant bail.
