India, April 28 -- Inspector General of Police, North Zone, Chandrasekhar Reddy, stated that Operation Kagar will continue to eliminate Maoists along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh borders.

Speaking to the media, he mentioned that Maoists have little influence in Telangana, which is why the impact of Operation Kagar in the state remains limited.

IG Chandrasekhar Reddy informed that around 250 Maoists have surrendered over the past three months. He added that if the government initiates talks with the Maoists, the police will act in accordance with the government's directives.
