India, May 26 -- Providing accident insurance worth Rs 1 crore to electricity workers is a historic first in the country, said Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Monday. He handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to the family of Jogun Naresh, an NPDCL worker who died in a work-related accident, along with a compassionate appointment letter to his wife, Ramesh Shrimati, at an event held in Praja Bhavan.



Bhatti credited the initiative to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's leadership, stating that such worker welfare was possible only under the Indiramma government.
