Hyderabad, March 21 -- Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka on Friday asserted that there is no drinking water crisis in Telangana and condemned the spread of false information suggesting otherwise.
Addressing a video conference with officials at the Mission Bhagiratha office in Erram Manzil, the minister reviewed water supply arrangements across the state for the summer. She directed officials to counter misinformation and said some individuals were deliberately exaggerating the issue for political reasons.
Seethakka alleged that a particular newspaper had published incorrect reports about water shortages to serve vested interests. She instructed officials to submit a report on the news item and issue a rebuttal. ...
