Hyderabad, March 10 -- Congress candidates A Diwakar, Shankar Naik, and Vijayashanti filed their nominations on Monday for the Telangana Legislative Council elections under the MLA quota. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and several ministers were present on the occasion.
The election is scheduled for 20 March, while the term of the current MLCs under the MLA quota will end on 31 March. On the last day of nominations, five candidates from three parties submitted their papers for all five seats. The candidates include Dr Shravan from BRS and N Satyam from CPI.
