India, April 2 -- Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao clarified that the government has not taken even an inch of land belonging to Hyderabad Central University (HCU). Speaking to the media today, he stated that the 400 acres of land located in Gachibowli do not belong to the university.
He explained that the land in question had been under the control of a private company, and the government had only reclaimed it after a legal battle. He alleged that certain elements were trying to create confusion among students and incite unrest by spreading misinformation.
