Hyderabad, Feb. 25 -- The movement of a leopard near Tirupati Vedic University has caused panic among students. Around 1:30 am on Saturday, a leopard was spotted near the university hostel, alarming both students and security personnel.

For the past two and a half months, a leopard has been roaming around Vedic University, Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), and surrounding areas, hunting animals and escaping undetected. Despite the installation of trap cameras and two cages, authorities have failed to capture the wild cat.

Forest department officials are struggling to devise an effective plan to trap the animal. Students fear for their safety, warning that the situation could turn dangerous if the leopard is not caught soon.
