India, April 30 -- The Hyderabad City Police have renamed several police stations and revised their jurisdictions to address administrative challenges arising from the city's growing population. The reorganisation, approved by the state government, marks the first major structural change in 35 years.



City Police Commissioner C V Anand announced the creation of a new Law and Order police station in Tolichowki, marking it as the 72nd such station under the Commissionerate.



The Secretariat Police Station has been renamed as Lake Police Station. Humayun Nagar Police Station has been renamed as Mehdipatnam Police Station, and Shah Inayat Gunj Police Station is now known as Goshamahal Police Station.
