India, May 7 -- A large-scale mock drill simulating a wartime emergency was conducted in Hyderabad on Wednesday under 'Operation Abhyas', following directives from the Central government. The exercise aimed to evaluate and enhance the city's disaster response mechanisms.
City Police Commissioner CV Anand confirmed that the drill was carried out at four locations, with the simulation beginning at 4 p.m. An alert was issued from the Command and Control Centre, triggering a two-minute activation of police sirens, fire engines, industrial alarms, and emergency signals to mimic a missile strike.
