Hyderabad, April 3 -- Heavy rain lashed Hyderabad on Thursday afternoon, causing widespread waterlogging and severe traffic disruptions. The downpour, which lasted for over half an hour, led to flash floods across several low-lying areas of the city.
Major roads were submerged, with vehicular movement severely affected. In Khairatabad, floodwater accumulated heavily on the main road, completely halting traffic between Khairatabad and Punjagutta. Traffic police diverted vehicles towards the Taj Krishna to ease congestion.
A tree collapsed on a car near the Mercury Hotel in Khairatabad during the storm. Two women inside the vehicle escaped unhurt.
