Heatwave alert issued for multiple districts in Telangana as temperatures soar
Hyderabad, April 22 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red and orange alerts for several districts in Telangana amid intense heat and a sudden spike in temperatures. A red alert has been issued for the erstwhile Adilabad district on 23 April, while orange alerts have been sounded for the erstwhile Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Medak, and Bhupalpally districts. On 24 and 25 April, red alerts will be in effect for the erstwhile Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Jagtial districts. According to the IMD, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in the Adilabad region on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
