Hyderabad, Feb. 10 -- Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has expressed strong outrage over an incident of alleged fraud and negligence at a private hospital in Hyderabad's Miyapur area. He ordered an investigation and directed health department officials to ensure such incidents do not recur.
The case came to light after the death of 26-year-old Suhasini from Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. Reports state that she was admitted to the hospital a month ago for treatment, but the hospital allegedly charged lakhs of rupees while continuing treatment. When her family could no longer afford further expenses, the hospital advised them to shift her to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
