Hyderabad, July 28 -- The Telangana Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department has issued a formal rejoinder clarifying its response and the regulatory violations involved in the recently exposed illegal surrogacy racket linked to Universal Srushti Fertility Centre, also known as Srushti Test Tube Baby Centre, in Hyderabad.
In the rejoinder dated 28 July 2025, the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare stated that the clinic was operating in violation of multiple laws, including the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, and had been functioning without valid registrations.
