Hyderabad, Feb. 13 -- Senior BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao has urged the Telangana government to take immediate steps to tackle drinking water shortages ahead of summer. He warned that water scarcity is already affecting several areas and could worsen in the coming months.



Harish Rao called for strengthening the infrastructure under Mission Bhagiratha, the scheme designed to provide safe drinking water across the state. He accused the Congress government of neglecting water supply issues and demanded urgent intervention to prevent hardships for residents.



He also urged local administrations to identify vulnerable areas and implement contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted water supply.
