Hyderabad, March 18 -- BRS MLA and former minister T. Harish Rao strongly criticised the Congress government for cancelling Question Hour in the Assembly and holding Zero Hour instead. Speaking at the Assembly media point, he alleged that the ruling party was trying to suppress the opposition by curtailing their rights.
Harish Rao stated that apart from BRS, even AIMIM MLAs were not being allowed to ask supplementary questions to the ministers, which he termed as highly regrettable. He mentioned that despite raising the issue with Speaker G. Prasad Kumar, they had not received any response.
He further asserted that it is the Speaker's responsibility to safeguard the rights of opposition members and questioned who would defend them...
