Hyderabad, Feb. 1 -- Former minister and senior BRS leader T Harish Rao has strongly criticised the BJP-led central government for ignoring Telangana in the Union Budget 2025-26. He accused Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman of tailoring the budget to benefit select states while neglecting others, questioning the BJP's "Viksit Bharat" slogan.



In a statement, Harish Rao remarked that the budget seemed designed for only three to four states rather than the entire country. He alleged that the Centre was repeatedly using the budget as a political tool, once again sidelining Telangana. He also questioned whether future Union Budgets would continue to prioritise election-bound states.
