India, June 25 -- Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday announced that the State government will provide free medical treatment to road accident victims within one week of the incident, with expenses covered up to 1.5 lakh.
The Minister held a review meeting today to assess the implementation of a cashless treatment system for accident victims. After consultations with officials, several key decisions were taken to ensure timely medical support for those injured in road mishaps.
