Hyderabad, July 16 -- Jubilee Hills police arrested four individuals for allegedly diverting funds issued under the Telangana Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) using forged documents.
The accused have been identified as Venkatesh from Vanasthalipuram, Naresh from Matuguda, Vamshi from Khammam, and Omkar from Peddapalli. Police have taken them into custody for questioning.
According to officials, after the Congress government came to power in Telangana, the accused fraudulently deposited the amounts of 19 cheques issued under the CMRF into their personal bank accounts. The suspects reportedly used fake documents to facilitate the transfer.
