India, April 7 -- Ahmed Basha, brother of former Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and YSR Congress leader Amjad Basha, was arrested at Mumbai airport while attempting to travel to Kuwait. Immigration officials detained him and handed him over to the Kadapa police.



Ahmed Basha was wanted in connection with a 2022 land dispute case in Vinayak Nagar, Kadapa, where he and his supporters allegedly assaulted a man named Mushtaq Ahmed. Following the rise of the Telugu Desam Party to power in the state, Ahmed reportedly fled to Dubai, fearing arrest. He had returned to Kadapa during Ramzan.
