India, April 19 -- A fire broke out on Saturday evening at the Emergency Block of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Panjagutta, triggering panic among patients and their families.
According to reports, the blaze erupted on the fifth floor of the Emergency Block. Hospital staff immediately alerted the police and fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames after a strenuous effort.
Thick smoke engulfed the hospital premises, prompting patients and attendants to flee the building in fear. Although no casualties were reported, several patients experienced difficulties during the incident.
