Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- Telangana State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Commission M Kodanda Reddy has urged farmers not to take loans for borewell drilling, warning that groundwater levels in the state are depleting rapidly. He advised farmers to cultivate crops only where water availability is assured, instead of risking heavy debts.
He cautioned political parties and opposition groups against making statements that create mental stress among farmers and urged them to act responsibly.
