Hyderabad, Feb. 6 -- A major fake educational certificate racket has been busted in Hyderabad, with two key accused arrested by the South East Zone Task Force and Dabeerpura police on Wednesday.
Abdul Khadir (47) from Shalibanda and Mohammed Shakeel (37) were arrested for issuing fake degree certificates to job seekers and those aspiring to go abroad.
According to Additional DCP Swamy, Abdul Khadir, a small-time private employee, was struggling financially and planned the fraud to make quick money. He collaborated with Sanjay Sharma alias Sahil Sharma from Kanpur, who supplied fake certificates from various universities. The gang targeted unemployed youth, charging them hefty amounts for fabricated documents.
