Hyderabad, April 11 -- Telangana Government on Sunday issued orders making the wearing of face masks mandatory in all public places, work spaces and means of transport.
"Any deviation in this regard shall attract prosecution under section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and section 188, IPC as well as other applicable laws. It is further reiterated that failure to wear a face mask as mandated above shall attract a penalty of Rs. 1,000," Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said in the orders issued today.
All Collectors & District Magistrates and Commissioners /Superintendents of Police in the State have been asked to strictly implement the above instructions.
