Hyderabad, Feb. 12 -- Former BRS MLA Bhupal Reddy was detained by police in Narayankhed, Medak district, on Wednesday during a protest against road construction delays.
Bhupal Reddy, along with several villagers, staged a demonstration on the state highway, demanding the completion of road projects approved during the previous BRS administration.
The protest saw significant participation from BRS members and local residents, leading to traffic disruptions as vehicles were halted. Upon receiving information, senior police officials arrived at the scene and attempted to pacify the protesters. However, as tensions persisted, authorities detained Bhupal Reddy at Manglapet and transported him to the Narayankhed police station.
