Hyderabad, Feb. 8 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi, urging the immediate release of funds pending from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana. The meeting took place at Sitharaman's residence on Safdarjung Road and was attended by Congress MPs and other officials.



Vikramarka requested the central government to release Rs 4,08,48,54,461 owed to Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. He also appealed for special financial aid for Telangana's backward districts.



Additionally, he sought the correction of funding discrepancies related to central schemes in 2014-15 and demanded the immediate release of Rs 208.24 crore in pending dues. Discussions also ...
