Hyderabad, Jan. 27 -- Contract-based assistant professors at IIIT Basar in Nirmal district staged a protest demanding the regularisation of their services. The protestors gathered in front of the institute's main gate, raising slogans and voicing their long-standing grievances.
The assistant professors stated that they have been working on a contractual basis for the past 15 years. Despite their extended service, successive governments, including the previous BRS regime, failed to address their demands. They criticised the current Congress-led government for not showing interest in resolving their long-pending issues.
