Hyderabad, March 14 -- Congress MP Mallu Ravi has demanded that the Telangana government disqualify BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy from the Assembly for making objectionable remarks against Speaker G. Prasad Kumar. He accused the BRS of being anti-Dalit and failing to respect Dalit leaders in high positions.
Speaking to the media, Ravi alleged that former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao betrayed Dalits by promising a Dalit Chief Minister but never fulfilling the commitment. He cited past incidents, such as the removal of Dalit Deputy CM Rajaiah over false corruption charges during the BRS regime and the expulsion of Congress Dalit MLA Sampath Kumar from the Assembly in 2017.
