Hyderabad, March 5 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Campaign Committee Chairman and former MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud reiterated the party's commitment to social justice, stating that the demand for Telangana's statehood was primarily based on ensuring fair opportunities for marginalised communities.



Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Yaskhi said that in undivided Andhra Pradesh, upper castes dominated governance, while 85% of the population belonging to SC, ST, and BC communities were deprived of adequate opportunities.
