India, May 2 -- In a bid to curb illegal constructions and protect lakes, parks, and government lands in Hyderabad and its suburbs, the Telangana government has granted expanded powers to the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA). As part of this initiative, the government has decided to establish a dedicated HYDRAA police station.
According to HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the first HYDRAA police station on 8 May. These police stations will handle cases related to land encroachments and unauthorised activities on lakes, parks, and government properties, based on complaints from local residents and government officials.
