Hyderabad, March 24 -- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to intensify rescue operations to locate and retrieve the workers trapped in the SLBC (Srisailam Left Bank Canal) tunnel accident. He instructed the Chief Secretary to appoint senior IAS officer L. Shashank as a Special Officer to monitor the operations on-site and oversee the entire process closely.
On Monday afternoon, the Chief Minister held a high-level review meeting at the Assembly Committee Hall to assess the progress of the ongoing rescue efforts, a month after the tunnel collapse. Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and top officials were present at the meeting.
