Hyderabad, March 8 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women's University campus in Hyderabad on Saturday. He described the establishment of the university as a significant tribute to Telangana's rich history and urged the institution to compete with reputed international universities.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister encouraged students to excel in all fields and fulfil former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's vision. He announced that a 33% reservation for women in elections would be implemented soon and expressed hope that students from the university would benefit from this quota and enter leadership roles.
