CM Revanth Reddy granted interim exemption from personal appearance in Nampally court case
Hyderabad, April 25 -- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy received an interim exemption from personal appearance in a case pending before the Nampally Special Court for People's Representatives. However, the High Court refused to stay the proceedings. The case was filed based on a political statement made by Revanth Reddy during a public meeting held in Khammam district's Kothagudem during last year's Lok Sabha elections. BJP leader Venkateshwarlu lodged a criminal petition alleging that Reddy falsely claimed the BJP would end reservations if it came to power, damaging the party's reputation.
