India, May 15 -- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sanctioned Rs 7 lakh financial assistance to the family of five-year-old Vedavalli, who died battling blood cancer, as a gesture of support for the medical expenses incurred during her treatment.



Vedavalli, daughter of Raghuram and Manjula from LB Nagar, Hyderabad, was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma in 2022 after developing a high fever. Her parents, with limited income, spent lakhs of rupees over two years for treatment across various hospitals.



In 2024, the family sought help from the state government. Responding to their plea, CM Revanth Reddy approved Rs 8 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) for treatment at Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. Despite the e...
