Hyderabad, Feb. 22 -- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reaffirmed his government's commitment to the caste census, calling it a crucial step toward social justice for Backward Classes (BCs). Speaking at a meeting with BC leaders at Praja Bhavan on Saturday, he challenged opposition parties, particularly the BJP and BRS, over their criticism of the survey.
CM Revanth Reddy emphasised that AICC leader Rahul Gandhi had equated the caste census to an "X-ray of society," asserting that true social justice is only possible through a detailed count of BCs. He recalled how Rahul Gandhi, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, had promised to conduct a caste census in Telangana once Congress came to power, a promise that has now been fulfilled.
