Hyderabad, Feb. 25 -- Hyderabad's iconic landmarks, Charminar and Golconda Fort, have gained national recognition in the tourism sector. Both historical sites have been listed among the top 10 most visited monuments in India for the financial year 2023-24, as per the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).



Golconda Fort secured the fourth position, while Charminar ranked ninth in terms of tourist footfall. The Taj Mahal in Agra topped the list, attracting 61 lakh visitors in a year.



The report highlights the steady recovery of the tourism sector post-COVID-19, with Hyderabad witnessing a 30% growth in tourist visits. The city's rich historical heritage and diverse culinary offerings continue to draw visitors from across the country....
