Hyderabad, March 8 -- Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced the establishment of three battery manufacturing clusters in Telangana for electric vehicles. He made this announcement while attending the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Amara Raja Batteries' Giga Industry at Divitipally in Mahbubnagar district today.
Speaking to the media at Hyderabad Airport later, Vaishnaw stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to set up large-scale manufacturing units, and the Centre will support the establishment of three such clusters in Telangana.
