India, May 24 -- Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay announced the establishment of forensic units in every district across the country under the National Judicial Infrastructure Development Scheme. Speaking at an event in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said the Centre has prepared a 2,254 crore plan to strengthen forensic investigation capabilities nationwide.
The scheme, to be implemented from the financial year 2024-25 to 2026-27, aims to modernise forensic centres with cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automated systems.
